“Top Gun: Maverick” foi eleito o melhor filme do ano pelo National Board of Review – uma organização de críticos de cinema fundada em 1909, em New York. O anúncio foi feito nesta quinta-feira (08).
Outros vencedores incluem Michelle Yeoh (“Tudo em Todo Lugar ao Mesmo Tempo”) como Melhor Atriz, Colin Farrell (“Os Banshees de Inisherin”) como Melhor Ator e Steven Spielberg (“Os Fabelmans”) como Melhor Diretor.
Nos últimos 30 anos, o escolhido como melhor filme pelo National Board recebeu uma indicação ao Oscar de Melhor Filme, exceto uma vez a cada década – “O Ano Mais Violento” de 2014, “Penas” de 2000 e “Deuses e Monstros” de 1998. Na década de 1980, houve tecnicamente duas falhas com “Império do Sol” de 1987 e “Betrayal” de 1983, que empatou com “Laços de Ternura”.
